The primary species for this sale is: Xxxxxxx-fir (79%) with an average diameter of 23 inches. Western Hemlock (15%) with an average diameter of 18 inches. DRAFT All units were either pre-poled or commericially thinned. Stocking is variable throughout the sale. DF Poles, which were captured on VP plots, are scattered throughout the sale. High quality, SM, and 3P logs present. Root rot pockets and previous harvest activity in all units affect stocking levels and wood quality. Defect most commonly presented as broken/forked tops, spike knots, sweep, and epicormic branches. Units will be cable (uphill) and shovel logged. Big wood everywhere, some tricky logging ground, but mostly favorable. Lots of brush. ** FMA acres were used as cruise acres. Plots that fell within or next to leave tree clumps were sampled.
