Head Protection. A non-conductive hard hat that meets the requirements of ANSI Z89.1 (Type 1 or 2, Class E or G) shall be worn in all work areas when a potential hazard of head injury exists or can be anticipated, or when required by CCI facility management.
Head Protection. All construction workers shall wear hard hats which meet ANSI Z 89.1-1986, 100% of the time while on the construction site. Hard hats shall display the company decal where the employee works. All delivery personnel, vendors and visitors shall wear approved hard hats while on the project.

Head protection (protective helmets with a strap for the chin) of the Partner's employees are mandatory for use where Unilever has the appropriate warning signs, as well as when performing any construction work, work at height, heavy maintenance work on industrial installations and equipment, work with the use of loaders or other floor industrial transport.

Each Crew Member must wear a helmet that meets the minimum requirements of American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standard Z89.1 1986, 1997 or 2003, plastic, type 1 class B, OSHA approved, with chinstrap. NOTE: Helmet meeting NFPA 1977, 1998, or 2005 edition standard for Personal Protective Equipment for wildland firefighting is required.

The Partner’s employees shall use head protection (safety helmets with a chin strap) in areas marked by Unilever’s respective warning signs and during any construction works, works at heights, heavy repairs and maintenance of industrial installations and equipment, works using loaders or other ground-type industrial transport. Head Protection shall wear hard hats where there is a potential for objects falling from above, bumps to their heads from fixed objects, or of accidental head contact with electrical hazards. ■ Hard hats are routinely inspected for dents, cracks or deterioration. ■ Hard hats are replaced after a heavy blow or electrical shock. ■ Hard hats are maintained in good condition. Scaffolding ■ Scaffolds should be set on sound footing. ■ Damaged parts that affect the strength of the scaffold are taken out of service. ■ Scaffolds are not altered. ■ All scaffolds should be fully planked. ■ Scaffolds are not moved horizontally while workers are on them unless they are designed to be mobile and workers have been trained in the proper procedures. ■ Employees are not permitted to work on scaffolds when covered with snow, ice, or other slippery materials. ■ Scaffolds are not erected or moved within 10 feet of power lines. ■ Employees are not permitted to work on scaffolds in bad weather or high winds unless a competent person has determined that it is safe to do so. ■ Ladders, boxes, barrels, buckets or other makeshift platforms are not used to raise work height. ■ Extra material is not allowed to build up on scaffold platforms. ■ Scaffolds should not be loaded with more weight than they were designed to support. Electrical Safety ■ Work on new and existing energized (hot) electrical circuits is prohibited until all power is shut off and grounds are attached.

Head Protection. (Hard Hat or Helmet). Each Resource shall wear head protection, with chinstrap, in accordance with OAR 437‐007‐0305(1) and (2) and shall meet NFPA 1977 standards. ‐ Gloves. Made of heavy‐duty leather or Nomex.
Head Protection. 1) Supervisor issued hard hats shall be worn at all times while on the job site.
2) Hard hats shall not be altered for any purpose such as drilled or punched for ventilation holes, edges trimmed off hats, or the suspension altered.
3) Each employee is responsible for keeping his or her hard hat clean and in good condition. Employees shall notify supervisors when the need arises for a hard hat to be replaced. Employees shall inspect their hard hats daily. No writing on hard hats.
4) Approved hard hats and side shield safety glasses must be worn while wearing a welding hood.
Head Protection. Hard Hats shall be worn by all crude oil purchasers and haulers, while on Company property except when in vehicles, in office buildings, or the parking lots. All hard hats must meet ANSI Z89.1-1986 Class B requirements for Personal Protection—Protective Headwear for Industrial Workers. Metal hard hats are prohibited.
