The Buyer agrees to take this puppy to a licensed veterinarian of their choice within 48 business hours. Failure to have the puppy examined by a vet within two days of the puppy’s delivered/picked up to provide required immunizations and medical treatment will void this health guarantee. Dehydration, as Diarrhea, Hypoglycemia, Coccidia, Kennel Cough, Internal and External Parasites, Giardia, Fungal Infections, or any condition that can be corrected by veterinarian treatment and any other preventable conditions are not covered. We provide a ONE-year health guarantee for life-threatening health issues (valid until the sellerpuppy’s FIRST birthday). Illnesses must be documented in writing by a licensed vet within 48 business hours. Failure to provide vet care within 72 hours of illness will result in the voiding of any warranties on puppy. c This health guarantee covers White Shaker Syndrome, ticksXxxx-Xxxxx-Perthes Disease, Hip Dysplasia, Urinary Bladder Stones, Epilepsy, Heart Disease, Liver or Kidney Disease, Degenerative Myelopathy, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Patella Luxation, Hypothyroidism, Addison’s Disease or any other hereditary defect which impacts clinically on the dog’s quality of life, as certified by a qualified veterinarian, (the Breeder has the right to require a second opinion from a nominated veterinarian of Breeder’s choosing at the Breeder’s expense), the REMEDY clause outlined in this Agreement shall be applicable and considered the only remedy/compensation available to the Buyer. d This Hereditary Health Guarantee does not cover or warranty against viral or bacterial illnesses and does not include or cover accidental physical injury or any digestive system related illness such as giardia, coccidiosis or cryptosparidious, which can commonly and readily be contracted by dogs of all ages through the ingestion of unclean or contaminated water, or eating such things as sticks, rocks, dirt, spoiled food, animal feces, rodents, etc. Additionally, this health guarantee does not cover illnesses that develop due to the ingestion of foreign objects, chemicals, poor diet or the onset of physical or mental stress e Should said puppy develop any of the above listed genetic diseases which makes it necessary to euthanize said puppy before it is 2 years of age (24 months), the Seller agrees to replace the puppy with another of the same color and sex as soon as the seller has one available. Alternately, the Buyer may choose a refund equal to one half of the purchase price instead of a replacement puppy. (Money will be refunded upon the sale of the Sellers next litter). f This guarantee covers only replacement of equal or less value or partial refund. If a more expensive puppy is available, the buyer may pay the difference of the two puppies. All veterinarian fees or other expenses incurred will be the Buyers responsibility. There will be no refunds or reimbursements of any money for veterinary bills or other expenses incurred by the buyer. g Prior to replacement or refund, the Buyer agrees to provide all health records showing the puppy/dog has received the appropriate care/vaccinations/deworming mentioned above, along with a written diagnosis from a licensed veterinarian, specifically describing which disease has been diagnosed and how the diagnosis was confirmed. The buyer agrees to obtain a necropsy report and the buyer’s expense. The seller reserves the right to also request any information on treatments that are available. The Buyer agrees to send a copy of all veterinarian reports, findings and test results to the Seller via US mail to the address above, postmarked no later than 7 days from the date the puppy was euthanized, or this health guarantee is void. h Seller does not guarantee health problems arising from trauma, abuse or failure to maintain general health care of the dog. We do not guarantee against accidental death, environmental based problems, non-genetic issues, theft, or loss of dog due to anything other than what is stated in this contract. This warranty also does not include allergy or shedding issues, temperament or size issues, skin problems (such as acne or demodectic mange), HOD (Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy), PANO (Panosteitis), OCD (Osteochondritis Dissecans), Cherry eye, Entropion, Ectropion, undescended testicles, loose knees or hips, Stenotic nares, elongated soft pallet, umbilical hernia, dermatitis, Bloat, seizures, viral or bacterial illnesses, infections, improper bites, ear infections, hernias, hypoglycemia, Giardia, Coccidiosis, worms or parasites of any kind. It also does not include any illness due to the ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals, physical injury or issues of unknown origin or that may have an environmental link. If this puppy is found to have a genetic defect of this kind, this must be verified by a licensed certified veterinarian. In the unlikely event case of a puppy’s death within 1 year hereditary hip deformity, a copy of written notification must come to the Seller from Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). In case of a genetic eye deformity, written notification must come to the Seller from a Board Certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist. If a ·genetic disorder· is found, Sellers will then replace the puppy with one of the same sex and coat color from the date of birth first available litter (puppy to a life threatening congenital defectbe determined by the Seller).
