Common use of HEARING AN APPEAL Clause in Contracts

HEARING AN APPEAL. Within six (6) weeks of receipt of an appeal (referred to above), the Civil Service Commission shall hold a hearing and its Chairperson shall direct the Personnel Officer to notify those whose presence is required. The appellant shall be entitled to appear personally and to have counsel and he shall be notified in writing of the time and place of meeting. The Commission may proceed informally and the rules of evidence shall not apply.
