Common use of Holds on Other Funds Clause in Contracts

Holds on Other Funds. If we cash a check for you that is drawn on another financial insti- tution, or if we provide cash back on a check you deposit, we may withhold the availability of a corresponding amount of funds that are already in the account you have with us. (We do this because the check can be returned by the institution on which it is drawn.) The funds withheld in an account will be available at the time funds from the check cashed would have been available. If we take a check for deposit that is drawn on another financial institution, we may make funds from the deposit available for withdrawal immedi- ately but delay your availability to withdraw a corresponding amount of funds that you have on deposit in another account with us.
