Honors Program. 11.15.1 Summer Program The departments shall propose the courses to be taught in this program to the Honors Committee. The courses shall be specifically tailored for high school Honors students, and approved by the Honors Committee and the Curriculum Committee. The minimum class size shall be fifteen (15). 11.15.2 Regular Semester The Honors Program shall consist of Honors Contracts classes and Colloquia, as described on the LBCC website: Honors Program. The classes shall meet the guidelines set up by the Honors Program. 11.15.3 Assignment The faculty member proposing to teach the Honors courses must have the recommendation of the department head, the area xxxx, and the Honors Committee. A faculty member may only teach one Honors class per semester without prior approval of the area xxxx.

APPENDIX B: ACADEMIC FREEDOM The College endorses the principle of Academic Freedom, desires to xxxxxx in its students a respect for differing points of view and supports the faculty’s freedom to present controversial issues relating to topics in the classroom. It is the policy of MVCC to maintain and encourage full freedom, within the law, of discussion, inquiry, teaching, research, curriculum and program development, and evaluation and assessment. In the exercise of this freedom, faculty may, without limitation, discuss their subjects and contextual material in the classroom. In their roles as citizens, faculty have the same freedoms as other citizens. However, in the extramural utterances, they have an obligation to indicate that they are not speaking for the institution. The College may invite outside speakers representing diverse points of view. In return, it reserves the right to ensure that opportunity be provided to challenge these views. The above statement is not subject to the contract grievance procedure. It may, however, be used in a dismissal proceeding as a defense. Honors Program. Bargaining unit members who volunteer and are assigned to mentor a student in an honors project related to a credit bearing course shall be compensated at $140 per student per project per semester.
Honors Program. Dallas College and CTX will develop a smooth transition for qualified students wishing to enter CTX Honors Program. Acceptance to CTX Honors Programs requires a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better on all college work. If UNIVERSITY is interested in an outlined Honors Agreement, please see Addendum A for language to review.
Honors Program. The purpose of this MOU is to acknowledge the scholastic accomplishments of FCC Honors students and to facilitate a seamless transition from the FCC Honors Program to the Xxxxxx X. Xxxxxxxxxx Honors Program of the Honors College at Salisbury University. Interested students should contact the FCC Honors Program Coordinator for further information.
Honors Program. BSU will accept AACC honors students into their Honors program during the fall or spring semesters provided that the student has graduated from AACC with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. BSU will guarantee a scholarship award to at least one AACC Honors program student with a maximum of two AACC Honors students enrolled in the BSU Honors program during any academic school year. The scholarship award includes in-state tuition and fees. All AACC Honors Transfer Scholarship recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 each semester.
