Hose construction. 2.2.1. The hose must embody a smooth-bore tube and a cover of suitable synthetic material, reinforced with one or more interlayer(s). 2.2.2. The reinforcing interlayer(s) has (have) to be protected by a cover against corrosion. If for the reinforcing interlayer(s) corrosion-resistant material is used (i.e. stainless steel) a cover is not required. 2.2.3. The lining and the cover must be smooth and free from pores, holes and strange elements. An intentionally provided puncture in the cover shall not be considered as an imperfection.
