Hourly Assignments. Hourly assignments for faculty shall be paid on the hourly rate as shown in Appendix A, Hourly Salary Schedule. Initial placement and advancement shall be as defined in Article XVIII - Salaries.
Hourly Assignments. The Department of Chemistry and Physics will have a single process for hourly assignments, which will be created according to the following steps:
Hourly Assignments. “Hourly assignments” means those assignments, generally paid on an hourly basis (Article 26: Salary Schedule Development) which remain available after all assignments for contract faculty and one- year agreements have been made or determined. Summer session and overload assignments for contract faculty are hourly assignments.
Hourly Assignments. Each faculty member’s established load will be preserved in the new department(s). The new departments will each have a single process for hourly assignments, as described in Article 16. As specified in Article 16.05.B.6, the new department or discipline will revise its Department Specified Provisions (DSPs), as necessary or desirable. Hourly Assignments. 1. For the purposes of hiring, the Counseling and EOPS department will maintain three separate associate faculty pools: General Counseling, EOPS Counseling, and Human Services. All associate faculty members in the Counseling and EOPS department will be notified of their right to apply for these pools.
Hourly Assignments. The length of any hourly assignments offered to graduate students will be set forth in the posting for the position. Hourly assignments are subject to availability and funding, and are subject to change or cancelation. Serving in one hourly assignment does not guarantee that students will receive additional assignments or qualify for other assignments. Nothing in this Agreement shall alter any work study rules and requirements or any University processes and procedures that apply to hourly student assignments, including how assignments are processed and students are paid for those assignments.

  • Shift Assignments When an opening occurs in a shift assignment in an appropriate work group at a location, preference shall be given to employees within the classification who possess the training, ability and any required special qualifications to perform the work required, on the basis of seniority. In the event that no employee desires a shift assignment, employees shall be selected in order of inverse seniority. This provision shall not apply to necessary training assignments. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

  • Work Assignments Section 1. The Company shall determine whether to staff a position or fill a vacancy and the method or combination of methods it shall use for such purposes. In making this determination, the Company shall first give consideration to qualified laid off employees with applications on file in accordance with Article 14 Section 7 of this Agreement and then internal candidates prior to off-street applicants. All vacancies within the Bargaining Unit shall be posted (manually or electronically) in locations where Bargaining Unit employees regularly work. The posting shall include the title, wage range, and sufficient information regarding requirements and duties to adequately describe the vacancy. The vacancy shall remain posted for seven (7) calendar days which shall be spread between two (2) workweeks.

  • Overtime Assignments When needed, overtime work for full-time employees shall be scheduled among qualified employees doing similar work in the work location where the employees regularly work in accordance with the following:

  • Overtime Assignment A. In institutional settings when the Agency determines that overtime is necessary, overtime shall be offered on a rotating basis, to the qualified employees who usually work the shift where the opportunity occurs. If no qualified employees on the shift desire to work the overtime, it will be offered on a rotating basis first to the qualified employee with the most state seniority at the work site. When there are no volunteers to work the overtime as outlined above, and/or where an emergency exists, reasonable overtime hours may be required by the Agency. Such overtime shall be assigned, on a rotating basis, first to the qualified employee with the least state seniority at the work site. This policy shall not apply to overtime work which is specific to a particular employee’s claim load or specialized work assignment or when the incumbent is required to finish a work assignment.

  • Training Assignments The Supervisor or designee may establish written training assignments to enable an employee to gain the additional experience and training required for the job for a period of time not to exceed two years. At the completion of the training assignment, the employee’s pay will be set no less than the entry rate of pay for the occupational pay band.

  • SUBLET/ASSIGNMENT The Lessee may not transfer or assign this Lease, or any right or interest hereunder or sublet said leased Premises or any part thereof without first obtaining the prior written consent and approval of the Lessor.

  • Work Assignment 1. It is understood that the assignment of work to purchased services does not convey a right to such work in the future, nor does it create any precedent with respect to future assignment of such work to purchased service employees by the employer.

  • Non-Assignment This Agreement shall not be assigned by either party without the written consent of the other party.

  • Subcontracting; Assignment The Contractor may not subcontract any portion of the services provided under this Contract without obtaining the prior written approval of the Procurement Officer, nor may the Contractor assign this Contract or any of its rights or obligations hereunder, without the prior written approval of the Procurement Officer provided, however, that a contractor may assign monies receivable under a contract after due notice to the State. Any subcontracts shall include such language as may be required in various clauses contained within this Contract, exhibits, and attachments. The Contract shall not be assigned until all approvals, documents, and affidavits are completed and properly registered. The State shall not be responsible for fulfillment of the Contractor’s obligations to its subcontractors.
