The bargaining unit member shall confirm the completion of the required hours with the Human Resources Office when he/she has completed 4.0 units of education and/or training. The Human Resources Office shall take appropriate action to increase the bargaining unit member’s rate of pay by $0.10/hour. H. Course work, in-service training, workshops, or conferences where the Board is paying the employee either a salary or a stipend to attend shall not qualify for credit under the terms of this article. I. In-services, conferences, or workshops reimbursed by the District as a conference (requested on a conference form) shall not qualify for credit under the terms of this Article. J. The parties agree to allow all current employees to become or retain “highly qualified” status as permitted by State and/or Federal law.
