Identification of Positions for Reduction. In determining which positions will be affected by a furlough or temporary reduction the University will consider the following factors in light of the economic or operational need for the reduction: employee seniority (as defined in Article 43 of the CBA), department(s), classification(s), location, type of work, required skill sets and employee schedules.
