Common use of Immediate Change Directive (ICD) Clause in Contracts

Immediate Change Directive (ICD). is a written order prepared by the Architect and signed by the District and the Architect, directing a change in the Work where the Work must proceed immediately and stating a proposed basis for adjustment, if any, in the Contract Sum or Contract Time, or both. See Article 17.4.1.2

An Immediate Change Directive is a written order to the Contractor prepared by the Architect and signed by the District (and CM if there is a CM on the Project) and the Architect, directing a change in the Work where the Work must proceed immediately and stating a proposed basis for adjustment, if any, in the Contract Sum or Contract Time, or both. See Article 17.4.1.2The District may by ICD, without invalidating the Contract, direct immediate changes in the Work within the general scope of the Contract consisting of additions, deletions, or other revisions within. If applicable, the Contract Sum and Contract Time will be adjusted accordingly.
