Common use of In Good Standing Clause in Contracts

In Good Standing. The term “in good standing” means maintaining satisfactory academic standing in a University of Michigan graduate degree program and shall be defined by the Rackham School of Graduate Studies and the enrolled department, program, and/or other academic unit. Such definitions shall be published by the various departments, programs, and other academic units. In cases where an Employee is hired outside their enrolled department or program, they will be required to meet the definitions of satisfactory academic standing, as defined by the Rackham School of Graduate Studies and the enrolled department, program, and/or other academic units. The application of these definitions shall be consistent for all graduate students, including GSIs and GSSAs.
