Common use of Inadvertent Payment Clause in Contracts

Inadvertent Payment. If we inadvertently permit payment on a Check with a stop payment order, you will have to prove to us that you have suffered a loss and, if so, the amount of the loss. We may enforce any rights that the original payee or any other person who held the Check had against you. We will not credit your Account until you prove your loss and we are satisfied that we satisfy ourselves the law requires us to do so.
