Overtime Payment Clause Samples

The Overtime Payment clause defines the terms under which employees are compensated for hours worked beyond their standard work schedule. Typically, this clause specifies the rate of pay for overtime hours, such as time-and-a-half or double time, and outlines the conditions that qualify as overtime, like exceeding 40 hours in a workweek. Its core practical function is to ensure employees are fairly compensated for extra work and to provide clear guidelines for both employers and employees regarding additional pay obligations.
