Inconsistent Amounts. We process our Checks using computers. The Check amount in numerals is the one encoded on the Check that the computer reads. You agree that if the Check amount in words is different from the amount in numbers, we may charge against your account the amount in numbers instead of the amount in words.
Inconsistent Amounts. If the written amount and the numeric amount of an item differ, and Bank identifies this, Customer authorizes and directs Bank to use the written amount of the check as the paid amount and agrees that. Bank will not be held liable for any damages if an encoding error is created. Bank will take reasonable steps to correct any encoding error properly identified by Customer.
Inconsistent Amounts. If a Check’s written and numeric amounts differ, Bank may choose, at its discretion, to credit the written amount of the Check or may instead choose to match the written amount on the accompanying invoice, stamping the Check with “Amount Guarantee” and crediting the written invoice amount instead.
