Common use of Indemnity Cover Clause in Contracts

Indemnity Cover. The employer undertakes to indemnify employees, subject to the terms and conditions of the employer's Professional Indemnity/Medical Malpractice Insurance Policy, against actions taken by persons suffering damage as a result of acts or omissions of the employee while acting in the course of their employment. This indemnity shall not apply to any employee acting outside of his or her employment, or for any action taken against the employee by their own professional association.
