Common use of Industrial Compressed Work Week Clause in Contracts

Industrial Compressed Work Week. (a) The Employer may schedule the regular work week in four (4) consecutive ten (10) hour days, at straight time rates, provided only that the four (4) ten (10) hour days are scheduled during the Monday through Thursday period unless varied by mutual consent between the Employer and the Union. Such consent will not be unreasonably withheld. The work day shall normally be worked between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The Employer may vary the start/quit times by up to one (1) hour at his option. Variances of greater than one (1) hour shall be mutually agreed between the Employer and the Union.
