Infection Control. The Contractor shall ensure that it has appropriate arrangements for infection control and decontamination.
Infection Control. Consistent with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Guideline for Infection Control in Health Care Personnel, and University Policy 3364-109-EH-603, the parties agree that all bargaining unit employees who come in contact with patients in the hospital or ambulatory care clinics will need to be vaccinated against influenza when flu season begins each fall. The influenza vaccine will be offered to all health care workers, including pregnant women, before the influenza season, unless otherwise medically contraindicated or it compromises sincerely held religious beliefs.
Infection Control. The Contractor is required to apply Infection Control principles as designated and outlined within the Infection Control Plan documents for construction at state hospitals and other Owner facilities when otherwise required by Owner, and set forth within the specifications attachment to the Contract. The ODR may incorporate mandatory adherence agreements for infection control into Construction Documents with penalties for noncompliance and mechanisms to ensure timely correction of problems.
Infection Control. An effective, integrated organisation-wide Infection Control Program is dependent upon the support, recognition, motivation, commitment and integrity of every staff member. All staff members have a responsibility to maintain infection prevention and control knowledge levels commensurate with the requirements of the position description and to adhere to the organisation's Infection Control Prevention and Control policies and procedures at all times.

The Board shall determine the need for and provide personal protective equipment and supplies for the employee to maintain current Center for Disease Control standards for Universal Precautions. The Board shall determine the need for, and provide education for employees to maintain current infection control procedures.
Infection Control. At the request of the Employer, each nurse shall provide a record of current immunization status. In the event that vaccine status is unknown and or not up to date, staff will be offered boosting of their routine vaccines or titres for Rubella, Measles and Hepatitis B and annual Influenza vaccination. Should vaccination be requested, this will be provided by the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit at no cost to the employee.

Infection Control. Standard and enhanced precautions for infection control must be followed in resident care as directed by the:

(b) Local county health department staff.
Infection Control. The Contractor shall ensure that it has appropriate arrangements for infection control and decontamination. The Contractor shall not provide any services under the Contract that involve the provision of general anaesthesia.
Infection Control. All efforts are made to maintain a homelike atmosphere, however, the reality is that many residents are frail and at risk for infections from common organisms. At times, infection control precautions are instituted to reduce the risk of the spread of organisms that may affect residents. The Charge Nurse or Nursing Supervisor will be able to explain any precautions that are in effect. Hand washing is the best defense against any infection and everyone is encouraged to wash frequently and before and after each resident contact.
