Influenza prevention. The Association will encourage all bargaining unit members to become vaccinated for immunizations that are determined to be in the best interest of patient care. The Medical Center may require all bargaining unit members to complete and sign its Vaccine Immunization Election Form for influenza immunization. Unvaccinated bargaining unit members will be required to wear a mask whenever providing direct patient care or working in patient care areas during a defined flu season. Failure to comply with the above requirements may subject a nurse to reassignment, call off from work and/or appropriate disciplinary action.
