Informal Reserves. This comprises elements of the Special Protection Zone (SPZ) in State forest and other areas of public land. Values protected by Prescription. The CAR Reserve System covers an area of approximately 297,000 hectares (about half of the public land in the region or 27 percent of the entire region).
