Initial Trial Service Period Sample Clauses
Initial Trial Service Period. An employee serving a one (1) year period of initial trial service to determine the 17 employee’s suitability for continued employment, such period to begin on the date of the 18 employee’s appointment to and commencement of a regular status position. During the 19 period of initial trial service, the employee may be dismissed without recourse to the 20 grievance procedure if, in the opinion of the employee’s supervisor, the employee’s 21 continued service would not be in the best interest of the County.
Initial Trial Service Period. Employees shall serve an initial trial service period of twelve (12) continuous months. An employee who is reassigned to another position in the same class prior to completion of the initial trial service period shall not restart the trial service period.
Initial Trial Service Period. The first 9 months of employment, during which an employee will be required to demonstrate suitability for the position. Nine (9) months is defined as 9 months of full- time work or the equivalent of 9 months of full-time work. The trial service period will be extended by the number of months during which credit is not earned due to nonpaid leave of 50% or more of the regularly scheduled working days of the month.
