Insects and Pests Clause Samples

The "Insects and Pests" clause sets out the responsibilities and procedures related to the presence or treatment of insects, rodents, or other pests on a property. Typically, this clause specifies whether the seller or landlord must ensure the property is free from infestations at the time of sale or lease, and may outline requirements for inspections, treatments, or certifications. Its core function is to protect the buyer or tenant from inheriting pest problems and to clarify who is responsible for addressing such issues, thereby preventing disputes and ensuring a habitable environment.
