Common use of Instructional Space Clause in Contracts

Instructional Space. A. The scheduling of classes and assignment of instructional space is the responsibility and prerogative of the University. The University will assign instructional space consistent with policy including considerations of accessibility, technological and pedagogical needs and class size. B. Faculty may request health-related accommodations pertaining to the assignment of instructional space that may or may not fall under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Requests should be submitted in writing to the Human Resource Services office where staff will review the request and, if approved, work with the registrar and others as appropriate to make reasonable accommodations and/or space assignment. Denial of any non-ADA requests shall not be grievable.
