Common use of Instructions for Use Clause in Contracts

Instructions for Use. 7.1 The Supplier shall provide to the Authority express written instructions for use relating to the Equipment and detailed instructional manuals (where available) for the intended purpose stated by the Supplier, including any information and documents required by Law and Guidance. The instruction manuals (where available) shall accompany the Equipment and shall be in the English language and contain appropriate directions as to the operation of the Equipment (to include, without limitation and where appropriate, in relation to any sterilisation, reprocessing and decontamination processes or protocols to be followed in relation to the Equipment). The Supplier shall also provide any necessary training relating to the use of the Equipment. 7.2 The Supplier shall provide a telephone number to the Authority which shall be manned during normal working hours by those of the Supplier’s personnel who are trained and qualified to deal properly with any enquiries the Authority may have in relation to the use and operation of the Equipment. The Authority will use its reasonable endeavours to notify the Supplier promptly of any fault or safety issue arising with or damage to the Equipment that the Authority becomes aware of and will use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that the Equipment is not used until such fault or damage has been repaired or the safety issue resolved by the Supplier.
