Common use of Insurance Certificates Clause in Contracts

Insurance Certificates. A. The Contractor shall, prior to commencing services, deliver to the County Certificates of Insurance as evidence that policies providing any and all required coverages and limits are in full force and effect. B. These certificates will serve as an indication to the County that the Contractor has acquired all necessary insurance; however, the County may require that certified copies of the insurance policies be submitted and may withhold payment for services until the applicable insurance policies are received and found to be in accordance with the Agreement. C. Insurance limits must be indicated on each Certificate of Insurance. Each Certificate of Insurance shall be reviewed and approved by the County prior to commencement of services under the Agreement. The certificates shall identify this Agreement and shall state the project number where applicable.
