Common use of Interfacility Transfers Clause in Contracts

Interfacility Transfers. GHC-initiated non-emergent transfers to or from a GHC Facility are covered as set forth in the Allowances Schedule. N. Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). Skilled nursing care in a GHC-approved skilled nursing facility when full-time skilled nursing care is necessary in the opinion of the attending GHC Provider, is covered as set forth in the Allowances Schedule. When prescribed by a GHC Provider, such care may include room and board; general nursing care; drugs, biologicals, supplies and equipment ordinarily provided or arranged by a skilled nursing facility; and short-term physical therapy, occupational therapy and restorative speech therapy. Excluded: personal comfort items such as telephone and television, rest cures and custodial, domiciliary or convalescent care.
