Interim Lien Waivers Sample Clauses

The Interim Lien Waivers clause requires contractors or subcontractors to provide documentation waiving their right to file a lien for work performed up to a certain point in a project, typically in exchange for partial payment. This waiver is usually submitted with each progress payment application and covers only the work and materials paid for to date, not the entire project. Its core function is to protect the property owner or general contractor from potential liens during the course of construction, ensuring that payments made are not subject to future claims and reducing the risk of payment disputes.
