Internal Contro and Recor-ds. The Borrow·er or the Executing Agency, as the case may be, shall maintain an appropriate system of internal accounting and administrative controls. The accounting system shall be organized so as to provide the necessary documentation to permit the verification of transactions and facilitate the timely preparation of financial statements and reports. The records of the Project shall be maintained in such a way that: (a) they make it possible to identify the sums received from the various sources� (b) they show, in accordance with the catalogue ofaccounts approved by the Bank, the investments in the Project, both with the resources of the Loan and with the other funds to be provided for its complete execution; (c) they include sufficient detail to show the goods acquired and the serYices contracted, as well as the utilization of such goods and services; and (d) they show the cost of the investments in each category and the progress of the works. With respect to credit programs. the records shall also detail the credits granted, the recoveries obtained, and the utilization of the funds recovered.
