Common use of Internship Supervision Clause in Contracts

Internship Supervision. When instructors are assigned to supervise students who are working as interns, the workload shall be assigned on a term-to-term basis. However, a full-time instructor may have the assigned credit(s) distributed over the academic year. The calculation shall be made for each term using the following formula: The workload for internship supervision shall be one (1) credit for every seventeen (17) student credits. A student credit shall be defined as one student enrolled for one credit. The resulting actual number of workload credits shall be paid. An alternate method for compensation may be implemented at the request of either the faculty member or the administration and upon agreement of the faculty member, the college president and the MSCF.
