Common use of Interpretation of Documents Clause in Contracts

Interpretation of Documents. The A/E shall interpret the Contract Documents and judge the performance thereunder by the GC, and A/E shall, within a reasonable time, but in any event so as to avoid any delay in the progress of the Work, render such interpretations and clarifications as it may deem necessary for the proper execution and progress of the Work. The A/E's decisions in matters relating to artistic effect shall be final if consistent with the intent of the Contract Documents and with concurrence of HISD. The A/E shall receive no additional compensation for providing clarification of the Drawings and Specifications.
