Common use of Interpretation of Judgmental Criteria Clause in Contracts

Interpretation of Judgmental Criteria. No single statement of criteria can be sufficient for all academic units and disciplines within the University. Each academic unit, through its Department Policy Statement, must interpret and apply these judgmental criteria by the currently prevailing standards of the relevant field/discipline/profession. Departments without an approved promotion policy interpreting judgmental criteria will have their applications for promotion evaluated by faculty committees and administrators on the basis of the general meanings attributed to these criteria.
