Intra-District Exchange. In addition to the above, continuing contract teachers mutually agreeing to exchange positions for one school year shall apply to the Superintendent by April 30. Such exchanges shall be subject to the approval of the Superintendent or designate. The decision on Intra-District Exchanges (E.24.7) shall be made by May 31 of each year. Such exchanges (E.24.7) shall be for one year unless extended by mutual agreement of the teachers involved and the Superintendent. Where mutual agreement is not reached, the teachers shall revert to their former positions. Applications for extension must be received by March 31.

Intra-District Exchange. 1. Where two (2) continuing teachers wish to exchange assignments and have the necessary qualifications and abilities required by the position that they are transferring to they may file a written request for exchange through the Human Resources Department by April 1, to be implemented for the subsequent school year. This exchange shall not be unreasonably denied. The response to the request will be given in writing by April 30.
Intra-District Exchange. Any two (2) Regular Faculty Members may make written applications to their College President(s) to participate in an intra-district exchange. Such request must be received no later than ninety (90) days prior to the end of the semester preceding the semester in which the exchange would begin. The application shall set forth the advantages to be accrued to the District and to the Faculty Member by participation in such an exchange. The President, or designee, will review the request and determine whether or not the request may be granted. If the request for an exchange is not granted, the President, or designee, will, within one (1) week, inform the Faculty Member in writing of the reasons for the denial. The leave may not exceed one (1) year, except that by mutual consent of the Faculty Member and the District, the leave may be extended.
