Common use of INTRAVENOUS SUBSTANCE USERS/SPECIAL Clause in Contracts

INTRAVENOUS SUBSTANCE USERS/SPECIAL. CONSIDERATIONS 1. Individuals requesting treatment for intravenous drug use shall be admitted to a treatment program no later than 14 days after making the request for admission to such a program; or 120 days after the date of such request, if no such program has the capacity to admit the individual on the date of the request. 2. Interim Services must be provided within 48 hours of the request for treatment. If the individual has not received a substance abuse evaluation and is requesting treatment, the individual shall be given an appointment for the evaluation within 48 hours and complete the evaluation within 7 business days. 3. Upon completion of the substance abuse evaluation (written report), the individual should receive treatment within 14 days or be provided Interim Services until they are able to enter a treatment program.
