Common use of Joint and severalliability Clause in Contracts

Joint and severalliability. (i) If the Contractor has formed a Joint Venture of two persons for implementing theProject: (a) these persons shall, without prejudice to the provisions of this Agreement or any other agreement, be deemed to be jointly and severally liable to the Authority for the performance of the Agreement;and (b) the Contractor shall ensure that no change in the composition of the Joint Venture is effected without the prior consent of theAuthority.
