JURY DUTY AND APPEARANCES IN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS. 26.1 The Board shall grant a leave of absence with pay to any teacher summonsed for jury duty or required to attend any legal proceedings by reason of subpoena except for arbitration proceedings pursuant to this Agreement, unless the subpoena is initiated by the Board. A teacher on such leave shall pay over to the Board any sums received for jury duty or witness fees, exclusive of parking costs, day care costs, travelling costs and meal allowances.
