Labor Code Section 1861 Certification. In accordance with California Labor Code section 3700, Manager and its Subcontractors are required to secure the payment of compensation of their respective employees and by signing this Agreement or any subcontract, respectively, Manager and each of its Subcontractors certifies that “I am aware of the provisions of Section 3700 of the California Labor Code which require every employer to be insured against liability for workers’ compensation or to undertake self-insurance in accordance with the provisions of that code, and I will comply with such provisions before commencing the performance of the work of this contract.” Manager shall include this certification by each Subcontractor in each contract with a Subcontractor.
