LEGAL DOCUMENTS. Political Subdivision shall be responsible for the preparation, adoption, and publication of all required election orders, resolutions, notices, and any other pertinent documents required by the Texas Election Code and/or Political Subdivision's governing body, charter, or ordinances. Preparation of the necessary materials for notices and the official ballot shall be the responsibility of each participating authority, including translation to languages other than English. Each participating authority shall provide a copy of their respective election orders and notices to the San Patricio County Elections Administrator. If necessary, the Political Subdivision shall prepare a submission to the United States Department of Justice for pre-clearance of the joint election procedures and polling places, pursuant to the Voting Rights Act of 1965, as amended.
