Common use of LENGTH OF GRANT PERIOD Clause in Contracts

LENGTH OF GRANT PERIOD. The grant period of the non- point source grant agreement is the period when cost−share funds may be expended. It may not be more than 10 years from depart- ment plan approval. Demonstration practices may be allowed prior to department plan approval. The department may extend the grant period for one year upon written request by the grantee where the additional time will result in a significant reduction of the pollutant load from nonpoint sources or otherwise further the intent of the program.
