Common use of Level 1 Certification Clause in Contracts

Level 1 Certification. To be eligible for Level 1 Certification, a represented employee must have the ability to effectively communicate with the public in a Department-designated and City-approved non-English language. Represented employees certified with Level 1 skills shall be paid forty-five dollars ($45) per pay period. A represented employee shall be paid for either Level 1 or Level 2 bilingual skills, and the bilingual pay described in this section and Section 5.6.5.2 shall not be pyramided.
