LIABILITY INSURANCE BENEFITS / WORKER'S COMPENSATION. A. The District shall designate employees as additional named insureds on the District's general liability policy. The scope of an employee's coverage shall be limited by the terms of the District's policy. The District shall also provide employees with the same liability protection as provided the Superintendent and administrators for errors and omissions and will provide the Association with a copy of applicable insurance policy(ies) and updates as coverages change. B. Pursuant to the requirements of RCW 28A.400.370, the District shall provide insurance covering employees engaged in the maintenance of order and discipline or the protection of school personnel and students or the property thereof. Limits of coverage for personal property shall be: Five hundred dollars ($500) per occurrence for personal property with a ten-dollar ($10) deductible payable by the employee. (Personal property is limited to indispensable personal property necessarily worn by the employee, such as eyeglasses, hearing aids, dentures, watches, clothing, and other personal property used in the educational process and approved in advance by the District.) When an employee receives time-loss payments for an injury covered by worker's compensation, the District shall pay the employee the difference between the time-loss payments and the employee's regular salary and charge the difference payment to employee's sick leave account, provided the employee has sufficient accumulated sick leave to cover the difference payment.
