Common use of Liability of the Insurer Clause in Contracts

Liability of the Insurer. Unless the Insurer shall have been ------------------------ grossly negligent or guilty of wrongful misconduct, neither the Insurer nor any of its officers, directors or employees shall be liable or responsible for: (a) the use that may be made of the Policy by the Trust or for any acts or omissions of the Trust in connection therewith; or (b) the validity, sufficiency, accuracy or genuineness of documents delivered to the Insurer in connection with any claim under either Policy, or of any signatures thereon, even if such documents or signatures should in fact prove to be in any or all respects invalid, insufficient, fraudulent or forged (unless the Insurer shall have actual knowledge thereof). In furtherance and not in limitation of the foregoing, the Insurer may accept documents that appear on their face to be in order, without responsibility for further investigation.
