Common use of License Only Clause in Contracts

License Only. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, Owner and the City acknowledge and agree that all rights conferred upon the City pursuant to this Agreement create a license only, and that no lease, tenancy, leasehold or other right or interest of any kind or nature (other than a license) is created or conferred pursuant to this Agreement.
