Common use of Limitation On Property At Residential Premises Other Than The Described Location Clause in Contracts

Limitation On Property At Residential Premises Other Than The Described Location. Coverage for personal property usually on residential premises of an “insured” other than the “described location” is limited to 10% of the Coverage C “limit” or $1,000, whichever is greater. However, this limitation does not apply to personal property: 1) that is removed from the “described location” because the “described location” is undergoing alteration, reconstruction, or repair and is unfit for use as a residence or a place in which to store property; or 2) in “your” newly acquired principal place of residence for 30 days from the date that “you” first move property there.
