Load in Large Lecture Classes. 7.4.1 A unit member assigned to a class with an enrollment of one hundred seventy percent (170%) of the class size maximum at census day will receive one and one- half (1-1/2) times the usual teaching units for the class (double size class). 7.4.2 A unit member assigned to a class with an enrollment of 240% of the class size at census day maximum will receive two (2) times the usual teaching units for the class (triple size class). The decision to implement the provisions of this section must be approved by the appropriate instructional Xxxx or Student Services Xxxx based upon a recommendation of the Department Head in consultation with the unit member involved. 7.4.3 Large lecture classes will be held only in locations that meet health and safety requirements for the number of students enrolled in the class.
