Loan Repayment and Service Understandings. Medical Center will not require the payment if Nurse works for the Medical Center as a Registered Nurse for the duration and at the FTE noted above. The time period will be calculated from the date Nurse begins working in after satisfactory completion of the residency ("start date"), and shall be extended to reflect any leaves of absence that may occur during this time period. The repayment period begins once the Nurse passes the residency program examination. Should Nurse resign from his/her position within two (2) years of the start date, Nurse understands and agrees that Nurse will be required to repay the Medical Center, unless the Medical Center determines that extenuating circumstances exist. Denial by the Medical Center of the Nurse’s claim that extenuating circumstances exist may be grieved by the Association. Should Nurse quit the residency program before completion, Nurse shall be required to repay the hospital twenty-five (25%) of the cost of the residency payback amount. The Medical Center is authorized to withhold money from Nurse's last pay check and apply such amount toward the balance due. A nurse hired into a residency program by the Medical Center will be paid at the rate appropriate to his or her relevant experience in accordance with Article 9.3 of the WSNA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Nurse and the Medical Center agree to the above terms of this Residency Agreement, and voluntarily accept its two years of service. Within thirty (30) days of the date of ratification, a committee consisting of Perioperative management, the HR Director, all primary charge nurses in Xxxxxxx OR and Main OR, two WSNA-Time Nursesselected staff from each of Xxxxxxx OR and Main OR, and a WSNA Nurse Representative will meet once monthly for two hours to discuss the following items: • Specialty teams identification and communication; • Methodology and communication requirements for soliciting staff to float; • Methodology and implementation of Scavenger Xxxx orientation; • Implementation of the competencies database; and • Any other agenda item the Committee deems appropriate. • Impacts of this plan on patient safety and nurse well-being. The Committee’s work will be completed within six (6) months of the date of the first meeting upon submission of a final status report and recommendations as to whether to continue the plan. For a period of six (6) months following the date of ratification, management will pause cross training for nurses hired before January 1, 2015. During this time, management will evaluate the operational ability to effectively and safely move forward with the January 1, 2015 integration of the perioperative clinical groupings in Article 7.6.1 (including the rotation of call, holiday call, holiday shift, weekend shift and night shift) nurses between the Main and Xxxxxxx work areas. After this six (6) month evaluation period, the St. Xxxxxx Medical Center Market President shall consult the Committee identified below by having at least one meeting with the Committee to receive and understand the Committee’s recommendation. A decision thereafter shall be made by management to either cease the plan or to continue, Nurses will receive thirty (30) days’ advance notice of the decision effective date.
