Common use of Local government reform Clause in Contracts

Local government reform. (1) If the Service Recipient is amalgamated with another local government, or the boundaries of the Service Recipient are changed in any manner that affects the provision of the Services in a material way, this Contract will terminate on the date that any such amalgamation or boundary change comes into effect, and neither Party will have any further obligation under the Contract with the exception of any obligation that accrued prior to termination and remains outstanding (or which survives termination of the Contract).
