Common use of Lodge/Labor Council Membership Clause in Contracts

Lodge/Labor Council Membership. It shall not be a condition of employment for any employee to either acquire or maintain membership in the Lodge or the Labor Council. Any employee who is a member of the Lodge or Labor Council may withdraw authorization for dues deduction by the City by directing a request thirty (30) days in advance, in writing to the City Finance Director with a copy to the Lodge or Labor Council. During the first pay period in January and July of each year, the employer shall provide the FOP/OLC a roster of all bargaining unit members. Should the Employer receive notice from a bargaining unit member of the revocation of the dues deduction authorization and withdrawal from FOP/OLC membership, the Employer shall notify the FOP/OLC, in writing, within seven
