Long Stop Date Extension Clause Samples
A Long Stop Date Extension clause allows the parties to extend the final deadline by which certain contractual obligations must be fulfilled. Typically, this clause sets out the conditions under which the long stop date can be postponed, such as mutual agreement or the occurrence of specific events like regulatory delays. Its core function is to provide flexibility and prevent the contract from automatically terminating if unforeseen circumstances delay performance, thereby reducing the risk of contract failure due to factors outside the parties' control.
