Common use of Loss of Time, Injury at School Clause in Contracts

Loss of Time, Injury at School. Any injury that arises out of or occurs in the course of employment of a teacher shall be promptly reported to the building principal. The teacher shall be supplied with the appropriate forms in the event a worker's compensation claim is to be filed. If a teacher is assaulted as a result of the performance of his/her professional duties as mentioned in Paragraph C above, the teacher's wages shall continue in full without reduction in accumulated sick leave until worker's compensation commences. Then the Board agrees to pay the difference between worker's compensation and the amount the teacher would normally receive in salary for the duration of the school year in which the incident occurs. The teacher may be subject to disciplinary action by the Board if the situation warrants same.
