Common use of Maintenance of Insurances Clause in Contracts

Maintenance of Insurances. The Ship shall be kept insured at no cost to the Lessor against: 13.2.1 fire and usual marine risks (including excess risks) and war risks; 13.2.2 protection and indemnity risks (including pollution risks and excess war protection and indemnity risks), on “full entry” terms; and 13.2.3 in respect of such other matters of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising in respect of which insurance would be maintained by a prudent owner or operator of vessels of a similar age, condition and type as the Ship and which may be requested by the Lessor from time to time (other than (i) the amount of any deductible, and (ii) loss of earnings/hire).
